To cater to changing customer needs and make the most of new opportunities, Manulife has launched a number of growth strategies and product initiatives. The aim is to fortify the company's leading market position and means there is a need for new recruits in diverse areas of the business and at different levels.

There are about 50 openings from junior officers to senior executives. The positions are primarily in operations, compliance, finance, project management, business development and sales management.

'Whether candidates are looking for a mid-career change or a first job as a fresh graduate, there are good opportunities,' says Kam To, assistant vice-president, human resources, Manulife (International). 'The required profiles depend on the positions, but we look for people who are innovative, have good learning capacity, and are committed to a career in insurance and wealth management.' The company places great emphasis on facilitating staff growth and achievement. A robust learning culture and structured framework supports opportunities for personal development, while job rotations and internal transfer programmes are open to employees at all levels.

'Seeing the importance of a working environment where staff are engaged, we encourage a values-based culture,' says To.

'For this, we also have a 'Together' campaign to promote engagement, helping people grow and achieve great things within the company.'
