About 9,450 youngsters had travelled to Australia, New Zealand, Ireland and Germany under the Working Holiday Scheme up to October 30, Secretary for Labour and Welfare Matthew Cheung Kin-chung  said in a reply to lawmakers' questions yesterday. Travel applicants must have insurance before their working holiday visas are issued.
