DOESN'T it just make you want to rip your hair out when you pick up a paper lying around the office and find the crossword is already done? Well one of Keeping Posted's spies experienced this particular horror recently with what he thought was a brand new copy of a newspaper from a certain Star Ferry newsstand.
Our crossword-loving lad couldn't believe his eyes when he opened the paper he had just bought to find the daily puzzle had already been completed.
He also noticed highlighted classified ads, pictures cut out, and even circled phone numbers in the personal columns.
Did the paper sorters take to the puzzles through the monotony of their job? Perhaps not, for Keeping Posted has heard the papers were used copies from airlines that frequent our fragrant harbour.
Perhaps collecting and selling off used papers is all for the environment, eh?
