US movie to follow the saga of two Kissel brothers' murders
The sensational murder tale of Hong Kong-based banker Robert Kissel by his wife Nancy will be made into a television movie in the United States and, in a bitter twist, her part will be played by an actress who starred in the series Prison Break.
Produced by and starring ER good guy John Stamos, Killing Mr Kissel will explore the events that led to the killings of Robert Kissel and his brother Andrew, three years apart and at opposite ends of the Earth.
'This story about one family's quest for the American dream that spiralled out of control also reminds us to be careful what you wish for,' Lifetime Networks executive Tanya Lopez told the New York Post.
The movie is slated to appear on the Lifetime cable television station in November.
The part of Nancy Kissel, who has appealed against her conviction and life sentence in Hong Kong, will be played by Robin Tunney, who starred as a lawyer in the American television series Prison Break.
In early November 2003, Nancy drugged her husband with a laced strawberry milkshake and then bludgeoned him to death in the couple's bedroom at their luxury flat in Tai Tam. She had said in defence that her husband was abusive and addicted to cocaine.
