The video game Grand Theft Auto IV - which has sparked controversy around the world for its graphic depictions of sex and violence - is widely sold to minors in Hong Kong despite being classified as indecent.

More than 60,000 copies of the game have been sold since it was released on April 29, not including pirate or unauthorised copies, thrusting the game to the top of the games charts.

The manufacturer, Take-Two Interactive, said 6 million copies had been sold globally, making it one of the most successful games of all time.

But the violent and sexually explicit content has seen critics argue for a complete ban of the game.

Playing Serbian immigrant Niko Bellic, gamers can deal drugs, visit lap-dancing parlours and use guns, knives and baseball bats to carry out random acts of violence.
