Super soft, stretchy T-shirts made from thin fabric  (tissue tees),  jeans, wooden flip-flops and a big bag.

My old jeans and Hermes scarves.

Anything too girly or frilly.

Cowboy.

Definitely flats  to kick around in during the day; preferably slip-ons.

Black Balenciaga work bag.

My embellished clutches, belts and vintage accessories.

Most expensive fashion item?

A watch my husband gave me.

Who's your favourite designer?

Johanna Ho,  Atsuro Tayama, Phillip Lim and John Hardy.

Favourite winter trend?

Layering.

What do you buy every winter?

Cashmere sweaters and a couple of winter coats.

What's on your most wanted list?

A soft, warm, lush shearling jacket.

Style icon?

Charlotte Gainsbourg for epitomising French chic and Tilda Swinton for being so avant garde.

High-end or high street?

Both. High-end for wardrobe staples and high street for more trendy, seasonable stuff. And flea markets for everything and anything.

Fashion disaster?

Rolled-up jeans and electric blue eyeliner from the late 80s.

What colours and prints will you wear this winter?

I'm open to wearing any colour as long as I don't look washed out,  but I'm not partial to prints.

Favourite winter accessories?

Scarves and detachable collars in cashmere.

Your fashion style?

I would say: 'thrown together in the nick of time'.

Your best high-street steal?

A Trifari necklace I got for US$20 at a flea market in New York.

Best-kept fashion secret?

T-shirts from Los Angeles-based brands and Uniqlo camisoles, which are extremely versatile.

Three things you can't do without?

Tissue tees, jeans and cashmere hoodies.

What's your philosophy when it comes to personal style?

Personality defines the clothes you wear.
