Video games used to be blamed for keeping kids on the sofa and contributing to obesity, but Nintendo has thrown that theory out the window.
Anyone who has played on a Wii will tell you that more than 30 minutes playing many of the games often results in sore muscles and aching limbs for days afterwards.
Now Nintendo has gone a step further and taken the Wii into the gym.

At this year's E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo) event, Nintendo unveiled the Wii Fit, a flat board that with sensors on its surface.
The idea is to encourage 'gamers' to do more than simply solve puzzles, hit balls, or kill monsters.

By sensing how a user is balanced on its surface, Wii Fit now allows a new form of interaction with the game console.
