Every woman-on-the-go needs a versatile tote and Celine has launched a new handbag with that need in mind. Created by artistic director Ivana Omazic, Celine has unveiled the Bittersweet. The contours of the cocoon-shaped tote are accentuated by five rows of top-stitching and the roomy bag is crafted out of either grained calfskin leather or exotic skins such as ostrich. While the bag is made using the design house's traditional leather-working techniques, the only obvious mark is a tiny insignia bearing Celine's trademark drum logo. Sewn into the canvas lining are two rings and six snap and zip-pockets, making for an organised interior. The metallic hardware comes in either a brushed pink-grey chrome or shiny or matte brass. For easy matching, choose subdued solid colours such as nude, saffron or powder, or try one with a hand-finished patent leather trim for added detail (left; HK$9,000 to HK$13,500). The bag is also offered in a deluxe caramel-coloured ostrich skin (above left; HK$48,000). Available at Celine, the Landmark, Central, tel: 2525 1281.
