IT will be worth coming home early or going out late tonight as Pearl has got a great film lined up for 9.30pm.

Robert De Niro and Charles Grodin join forces in a chalk and cheese relationship between an ex-cop turned bounty hunter and a corrupt accountant with a $100,000 price on his head for Midnight Run (Original Running Time 122 mins).

A leisurely five-hour flight to the west coast turns into an action packed five-day turkey shoot with the FBI, the Mob and other bounty hunters all chasing and fighting for the same prize.

Not especially known for his work in comedy, De Niro shows he has a real penchant for the genre as laughs and action abound in this entertaining romp across America. WORLD is serving up a bit of nostalgia at 9.30 with Moby Dick (ORT 116 mins).

This 1956 film, based on the classic novel by Herman Melville, follows Captain Ahab (Gregory Peck) and his crew as they set out to find the great white whale that has been wreaking havoc among the whaling ships that have set out to kill it.

The whale is eventually spotted and attacked with flimsy harpoons - even good old Captain Ahab gets stuck into the huge beast with his peg leg, but to little avail, and the film ends in a bloodbath.
