8am Flag-raising ceremony, Golden Bauhinia Square. Officiated by Chief Executive Donald Tsang Yam-kuen, the ceremony will be accompanied by performances from the police band and a mixed choir from the Diocesan boys' and girls' schools. A reception, with a performance by the Hong Kong Dance Federation, will follow.
12pm to 5pm National Day Carnival, Stanley Plaza Village Square. In addition to dragon and lion dances, there will be juggling and handicraft stalls.
2pm to 5pm National Day celebration carnival, Chater Road pedestrian precinct. Highlights include a children's martial arts performance, Chinese magic, folk arts and crafts and games stalls.
4.30pm to 10pm Carnival and fireworks spectacular, Tamar site. There will be games stalls and stage performances.
7pm to 8.30pm variety show, Hong Kong Coliseum
8pm to 9pm Harbour City concert, Ocean Terminal rooftop car park. Artists Hins Cheung and group Rednoon will perform before the fireworks display.
