Style secrets of the hip and fashionable

Wardrobe staple?

I simply can't  live without a Diane von  Furstenberg dress  for any circumstance. It's perfect for every occasion.

What do you look best in?

My husband always puts it into my travel bag:  a vintage  1970s    red Azzaro dress that I love to wear for romantic dinners, preferably barefoot.

What do you wear on weekends?

A Petit Bateau T-shirt with  Dolce & Gabbana jeans, satin ballet flats from Repetto and  a  long stone necklace that I   made myself.

Favourite fashion designers?

Far ahead of the pack are Celine and Diane von Furstenberg for their creativity and fabrics.

Fashion no-nos?

I don't wear  platform heels. Although I have a few pairs,  I never wear them because  I don't think they match  my style.

Must-have accessory  this season?

Definitely Fendi's B Belt.

Favourite shoe designer?

Bruno Frisoni, for his ultra- sexy high heels that I can't wait

to wear.

Must-have handbag?

An Hermes Kelly bag. I  wear my blue calf one with jeans. I  love the idea that my mother had the same one 30 years ago.

Your favourite scent?

The only fragrance that I don't get bored with  is Rose Splendide by Annick Goutal.

Most cherished fashion item?

An organza dress with applique  daises from Chloe's summer's collection. It's so glamorous!

Most expensive fashion item?

My black leather shoulder Birkin  from Hermes. Don't ask me how my husband  got hold of one. It's still a mystery to me!

Your obsession?

Designing all-transparent baby furniture. I'm still amazed by the fact that you can always find people here who can execute  any kind of design.

Style icon?

I don't have an icon, but my mentor in Hong Kong is my brother Charles from Artisan Creative Workshop.

New season's must have item?

An Oscar de la Renta grey structured flannel dress.  I'll customise it throughout  the season with different  vintage belts.

Skinny jeans or bootcut?

Skinny jeans with ballet flats during the day, and bootcut  with high heels at night.

Favourite shopping destinations?

I could mention the Maison Martin Margiela shop in Central to sound cool, but Shamshuipo  is more my style. I go there every week to look for fabrics, beads and other elements to create my own necklaces.
