200 TV sets, monitors found floating at sea
Two hundred second-hand television sets and computer monitors were found floating in the sea off Grass Island, northeastern Hong Kong, early yesterday.
Marine police launches were despatched to the island at 2.15am after receiving a call from the owner of a cargo vessel who reported hitting a floating object. The owner denied his boat had been carrying the items.
Gang pounces on two Nightclubbers
Two nightclubbers ended up in hospital after being slashed in an attack by a gang armed with knives outside a disco in Nathan Road, Yau Ma Tei.
The attack occurred when the two men aged 22 and 23 left the disco at 5.30am. Police said a gang of eight to 10 men chased them and slashed them with knives and choppers near the junction of Chi Wo Street. The gang fled before police arrived.
The two men were in a serious condition in Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
