If you happen to be in Genoa early next month you could check out the Slow Food Movement's Slow Fish seminar taking place from June 4 to 7. Slow Food is an international association that started in Italy aiming, according to its manifesto, 'to rediscover the richness and aromas of local cuisines to fight the standardisation of fast food'. The seminar, which will be attended by food lovers, chefs, restaurateurs, food scientists and nutritionists, will discuss sustainable seafood and the problems of overfishing and pollution. There will also be dinners, tastings and cooking demonstrations. For information on Slow Food and the seminar call 39 0172 436711 or e-mail eventi@slowfood.it.
