Proving that CitySeen is making a difference, we hear that Hong Kong-based artist/actor/filmmaker Michael Clements has submitted a script to MTV Asia's reality show The Pitch after reading about the programme in our columns.
The show features aspiring Spielbergs pitching their movie ideas to a panel of judges. Clement's screenplay Kaleidoscopes has been chosen as a finalist for the show, and the only representative from Hong Kong. The eight other aspiring filmmakers are from Southeast Asia.
MTV has flown Clements to Singapore and is putting him up in the swanky Hotel 1929 for five days while he perfects his pitch. 'I always hoped 'Survivor: Yuen Long' would be my first reality TV show but you take what you can get,' jokes Clements. As for his script: 'It follows a couple who come to Hong Kong and get caught up with a gang of young con artists attempting to steal a valuable kaleidoscope. Think McG's Fast Lane meets The Breakfast Club.'
