Centaline Property Agency and Telecom Directories have won Lands Department contracts to provide map guide services on the Internet.
Centaline managing director Shih Wing-ching said it would provide geographic information, demographic statistics and property market information through the service.
He said the project would enhance the competitiveness of Hong Kong's service sector by making comprehensive and timely information available.
Centaline and Telecom Directories will establish two Web sites to identify places of interest and other related information.
The contracts were signed yesterday.
Telecom Directories general manager of business development Bernard Lee said the map service would facilitate daily business operations and help raise Hong Kong's productivity.
