If any proof is needed that the days of inflation in second-hand plastic toys are over, a look at Hong Kong Snoopy sales sites on the Internet surely provides it.
We seem to recall some whole sets of Snoopies were going for in excess of $1,200 a month or two back.
Now, one buyer is offering 'any Snoopy' in the 28 Snoopy set for a mere $6.
That is the exact price punters were paying at McDonald's during its 28-day beagle extravaganza.
It also has two distinct advantages over the McDonald's offer: a) you don't have to queue up for ages, and b) you don't have to buy a McDonald's 'extra value meal' to earn the right to buy one.
The news isn't all bad for would-be Snoopy scalpers.
One local seller is offering individual Snoopies at $25 a pup. Another has been advertising a whole set of Snoopies for $750.
