Held at Gleneagles Hotel in Scotland from 26-28 September 2014, it is the second time Scotland has hosted the tournament. The team captains are Paul McGinley for Europe and Tom Watson for the US. Europe are the current cup holders, having defeated the US by 14.5 points to 13.5 in 2012 at Medinah Country Club in Illinois.
