Bangladeshi star Siddikur held the lead halfway through the second round at the US$800,000 Venetian Macau Open today as South African great Ernie Els mounted a charge.


The 2017 Macau Open will be held at the Macau Golf & Country Club from October 19-22. The tournament, which is part of the Asian Tour, was first played in 2004 and won by American Jason Knutzon. Thai Pavit Tangkamolprasert is the defending champion. Australian Scott Hend will be trying to win his third title after victories in 2013 and 2015. This year's tournament offers US$500,000 in prize money.
