On the back of a dramatic return to Singapore, ONE Championship made a quick turnaround and got back to action at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

There were two titles on the line on Saturday morning at ONE Fight Night 15, with an interim featherweight MMA champion being crowned in the main event.

ONE: fans question Tawanchai win, accuse judges of ‘robbery’

Former champion Thanh Le earned that distinction with a stunning, 62-second submission win over No 3-ranked contender Ilya Freymanov, and was then joined in the ring for a face-off with undisputed champ Tang Kai.

China’s Tang defeated Vietnamese-American Le by decision to win the belt last year, and a rematch now looks set in stone.

Strawweight kickboxing champ Jonathan Di Bella was also back in action, 12 months on from winning his title with a decision win over Zhang Peimian. The Italian-Canadian retained his belt with a lopsided decision win over fan favourite Danial “Mini T” Williams.

The loudest cheers of the morning went to home hero Tawanchai PK Saenchai, who got a much tougher fight from Jo Nattawut than many expected, and ultimately had to settle for a unanimous decision win.

Flyweight grappling champion Mikey Musumeci also returned to action in Bangkok, picking up a submission victory over the much larger Shinya Aoki in a non-title openweight bout.
