With the Hong Kong women's table tennis team on a well-deserved break before their bronze medal-match with Germany tomorrow, attention turns to the golf course and the cycle track today.

Tiffany Chan Tsz-ching has struggled in the opening round at Kasumigaseki Country Club, where the three medallists from Rio, Inbee Park, Lydia Ko, and Shanshan Feng, are all grouped together. Chan shot a six-over par 77, to lie in a tie for 59th.

On the track, Sarah Lee Wai-sze leads the medal charge after qualifying for the keirin quarter-finals, but the London 2012 bronze medallist had to return for a repechage after finishing third in her heat. Jessica Lee Hoi-yan finished last in her heat, and fourth of five in her repechage, and is out.
