Olympics-bound Hong Kong teen swim star Siobhan Haughey hopes US move unleashes full potential

It's not an easy separation, but coach Michael Fasching believes handing over swimming star Siobhan Haughey to the coaching team at the University of Michigan can turn her into a world-class swimmer.
Fasching couldn't hide his praise for Haughey, who left last weekend to start her university education in the United States.
"I came to Hong Kong in 1988 and I have been training Hong Kong swimmers for 27 years," said Fasching, who instructs swimmers at the South China Athletic Association.
"Siobhan Haughey is unique. I have never come across such a talented and hard working swimmer in my entire career.
"I will miss Siobhan in a big way," said the German coach, who met Haughey's new coach, Mike Bottom, in June.
"However, the separation is made easy by knowing that Mike Bottom is an excellent coach. He has an excellent reputation of producing world-class sprinters. I know she is in good hands from here on so I can easily let go."
