O'Young sets sights on fourth Macau victory

Report by:

Darryl O'Young will be attempting to win at Macau for the fourth time when he lines up for the GT Cup this weekend. O'Young (pictured) has a record second to none on the 6.2-kilometre Guia circuit and is favourite again.

Yesterday, he took me on a spin around the world famous circuit in a Porsche Cayenne, pointing out all its twists and turns. The street race is a demanding one, requiring heavy concentration, precision and skill. Many drivers have hit the many barriers or even flipped off the road.

The 29-year-old has his sights on winning Macau for a third straight year in his LKM Team Jebsen-sponsored Porsche 911 GT3 Cup S. VIDEO AFTER THE JUMP.

Bakeries battle for the moniker: 'Souvenir of Hong Kong'

Report by:

Kee Wah Bakery, a traditional family-operated company that produces distinctly Chinese pastries like bridal cakes and mooncakes, is facing a fight for its status as the "souvenirs of Hong Kong."

Kee Wah's snacks are often given to people overseas as tokens of Hong Kong's culture. Henry Tang, then Financial Secretary, bought some Kee Wah's cakes for New Zealand government officials during an overseas visit.

The challenge comes from Koi Kei Bakery, the creators of "souvenirs of Macau", who have set up their first store across the road from the Causeway Bay branch of Kee Wah. VIDEO AFTER THE JUMP.

The force is strong with actor Charles Ross

Report by:

Growing up on an isolated farm in Canada, young Charles Ross was starved for entertainment. The television lacked reception and his family owned just three VCR tapes, one of which was the first Star Wars.

Ross watched the film more than 400 times, committing every line to memory. And what was once a childhood obsession has now become a career.

The actor's One-Man Star Wars Trilogy takes fans on a whirlwind adventure through a film franchise that has preoccupied the imaginations of so many children around the world. It runs from November 24 to November 29 at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. VIDEO AFTER THE JUMP.
