Hong Kong chief executive candidate Woo Kwok-hing involved in traffic accident, walks away unhurt

Retired judge’s car is damaged in Happy Valley incident but he and driver escape unscathed

Chief executive election candidate Woo Kwok-hing was involved in a minor traffic accident in Happy Valley on Friday.

Woo’s white Toyota Prius was slightly damaged in the incident, with dents and a 10cm hole seen on the right-side front door.

The retired judge, 71, appeared to walk away from the accident uninjured, and left the scene near Happy Valley Racecourse by taxi.

Woo’s spokeswoman said he and the driver were unhurt.

“Woo’s car was slightly touched by another car on the driver’s side,” she said. “He was sitting next to the driver. Neither he nor the driver was injured, but their car is damaged.”
