Hong Kong police have issued a public appeal for help in the search for a 13-year-old girl missing since July 1.

Leung Ting-ting was last seen around noon that day when she left her home at Lower Ngau Tau Kok Estate in eastern Kowloon. Her family reported the case to police last Wednesday.

According to officers, the girl is about 1.6 metres tall, weighs 54kg and is of medium build. She has a round face and long straight black hair.

“She was last seen wearing a dark green long-sleeved jacket, dark blue jeans and black sport shoes,” police said in a statement issued on Tuesday.

The force appealed to anyone with information to contact officers on 3661 0316 or notify any police station.

Officers from the Kowloon East regional missing persons unit were handling the case.
