Thousands of protesters in Hong Kong defied armed riot police and tear gas and spent the night on the streets of the territory. As Occupy Central enters its second day, pro-democracy advocates debate how to carry the civil disobedience movement’s momentum forward. Some debate about whether they should clear some of the occupied areas in Causeway Bay, Admiralty and Mong Kok or stay put.
