The 38-year-old suspect, surnamed Sun, was suspected of killing a man in the city of Liaoyuan, Jilin province on behalf of the victim’s wife, the New Culture News reported, citing police in Changchun, the provincial capital.
The wife, surnamed Shen, aged 35, had long demanded a divorce from her husband, surnamed Xiao, as she was often beaten over trivial family matters, but was refused every time, police said.
