Why you can trust SCMP

A video filmed using head mounted cameras of two gutsy Russians scaling China's Shanghai Tower without ropes or any climbing gear has gone viral.

Vadim Makhorov and Vitaliy Raskalov not only climbed to the top of the Shanghai Tower, but also scaled a crane on top of the building. The pair sneaked into the building site at midnight on Chinese New Year and spent almost two hours climbing up 120 floors to reach a height of 650 metres.
