China’s party paper falls for 'Sexiest Man Alive' joke about Kim Jong-un

The online version of China’s Communist Party newspaper has treated seriously a satirical report by naming North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un as the “Sexiest Man Alive”, running a 55-page photo spread of the round-faced leader.

The ran it with the headline “North Korea’s top leader named The Onion’s Sexiest Man Alive for this year” and included quotes from the spoof report.

Quoting , the Chinese newspaper wrote on Tuesday: “With his devastatingly handsome, round face, his boyish charm, and his strong, sturdy frame, this Pyongyang-bred heartthrob is every woman’s dream come true.”

The photos the selected include Kim on horseback squinting into the light and Kim waving towards a military parade.
