Collectors of Aston Martin cars can now get a bike that is reminiscent of their automobiles. When the DB4 was first launched at the 1958 London Motor Show, Aston Martin surprised the audience with an elegant continental design, for the first time combining Italian design and construction techniques with solid British craftsmanship.

More than six decades later, French design and innovation bike manufacturer Coleen decided to launch a limited-edition electric bike to honour Carroll Shelby’s 1959 victory in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, when he co-drove an Aston Marin DBR1. Coleen chose Bordeaux to unveil the homage bike boasting classic Aston Martin features such as the original colour choices and design traits.

Coleen is known for much more than producing ordinary models. This was clearly showed at the CES consumer electronics show, when they impressed the audience with the bike’s hidden 529 Wh removable battery, concealed in the downtube, that takes about two-and-a-half hours to fully charge. The e-bike allows you to charge your phone via its USB charger, tells you about incoming calls and texts via its integrated and transflective display, and can be tracked via its specific app. The bike’s belt drive system fights grease and derailing in an urban environment. Most impressively, the bike retains its sleek DB4 styling, making it the perfect companion to your classic old-timer.
