This year’s Paris Fashion Week, which finished on March 5, featured some dazzling autumn/winter 2019/20 collection shows.

There is a Chinese proverb that says “One minute on the stage [takes] 10 years of practice off the stage”. This is fairly true for the fashion industry.

Although each presentation lasts only 10 to 20 minutes, the shows are the culmination of up to six months of hard work, involving various professionals, ranging from designers and models to make-up artists and hairstylists.

From Chanel to Balmain, STYLE went backstage at some of the season’s most high-profile shows.
