As we quickly learned this week, the answer is no, she hasn’t. In fact, she’s never even met him. After a fan account shared a post stating that “according to a few tabloids, Selena Gomez and John Schlossberg had an affair from 2020 to 2021,” Gomez took matters into her own hands to shut the rumour down. “Never met this human sorry,” she commented on the post on April 12.

The Only Murders in the Building star, 31, is currently dating singer-songwriter Benny Blanco, with the couple regularly sharing PDA posts on social media since going public with their relationship.
If Gomez had had a fling with Schlossberg (which to be clear once again, she hasn’t), she wouldn’t have been the first pop superstar to have dated a member of the Kennedy-Schlossberg family. Gomez’s bestie Taylor Swift had a romance with Conor Kennedy, Robert F. Kennedy Jr’s son, back in 2012, per J-14.

So, who is John Bouvier Kennedy Schlossberg – often referred to as Jack?

Business Insider called Schlossberg “the face of a new generation of Kennedys” thanks to his social media presence and 100,000 plus followers on Instagram.

And while he’s yet to show any signs of getting into politics, he hasn’t been shy about expressing political opinions.

In a video message alongside his mum for the Democratic National Convention, he said: “Times have changed, but the themes of my grandfather’s speech – courage, unity and patriotism – are as important today as they were in 1960. Once again, we need a leader who believes America’s best days are yet to come. We need Joe Biden.”
