While previously best known as the husband of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards, Mauricio Umansky is stepping into his own spotlight thanks to Buying Beverly Hills, which began airing earlier this month.

The new reality show from Netflix follows the agents at The Agency, the successful luxury real estate brokerage that Umansky started some 11 years ago. The series showcases its stars’ luxurious lives, occasional office romances as well as their fast-paced, high-priced property deals … unsurprisingly, some inevitable drama transpires between them too. (And, yes, it’s already invited comparisons to that other real estate reality TV series you may have heard of, Selling Sunset, by various media outlets.)

Included in the agency’s workforce are two of Umansky’s own family members, whom fans of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills would immediately recognise as his and Richards’ daughter Alexia, 26, along with his stepdaughter Farrah Aldjufrie. Farrah, 34, is Kyle’s eldest daughter from her first marriage to Guraish Aldjufrie, an Indonesian businessman of Dutch/Arabic heritage, according to Bravo TV.

So just how OTT are the lives of the show’s Umansky team? Let’s take a closer look.

The business success

On the show, Umansky describes the agency as “the best global real estate company in the world”, which he justified by his claim that he’s sold more US$20 million homes in the US than any other agent. One of the high-profile properties he famously sold was the Playboy Mansion, which went for US$100 million in 2016, reports The Agency’s website. According to a feature on Umansky in Ventura Blvd, some of the entrepreneur’s celebrity clientele included Michael Jackson and Prince.

It’s clear that The Agency has been a major win for the Umanskys, having expanded to over 40 offices in six countries around the world, with global sales exceeding US$45 billion, per its website.

Thanks to this success, in addition to that of Umansky’s wife, RHOBH OG and reality TV royalty Richards, the family has prospered, accumulating vast wealth, several properties and all the trappings that come with a bulky bank balance.

The properties

Viewers of both Buying Beverly Hills and Real Housewives would be familiar with several of the Umansky-Richards clan’s homes. Though it’s since sold to new owners, the family’s Beverly Hills mansion that RHOBH viewers have seen for the majority of the show’s 12 seasons also features on Buying Beverly Hills. The house was famously rented by two other Housewives, Sutton Stracke (Beverly Hills) and Larsa Pippen (Miami), and was assigned to Alexia to sell, per Bravo TV. Celebrity Net Worth reported that the house sold for US$6.5 million in January.

The family (except for Aldjufrie) now live in a sprawling estate in nearby Encino, a property that was once owned by Motown singer Smokey Robinson, reports Ventura Blvd. The Umanskys’ primary California residence boasts its own gym, pool, cinema room and a putting green, states the same source. The family’s patriarch is an avid golfer and, per Ventura Blvd, is often golfing at the nearby MountainGate Country Club.

Additionally, the Umansky-Richards family has a home in La Quinta, in California’s Coachella Valley, which they reportedly bought for US$2.35 million back in 2014, per Realtor. They also owned a four-bedroom house in Aspen, Colorado, which spanned three storeys and 2,400 sq ft complete with a hot tub and stunning private rooftop deck. Both houses have appeared on Real Housewives, however the Aspen home was recently sold in September for US$7.75 million, per Realtor.

Aldjufrie, however, who was included in The Hollywood Reporter’s list of LA’s top 30 property agents for 2022, owns her own home. She’s shared glimpses of her place with her Instagram followers. The chic digs includes a home gym, pool and guest house, according to Bravo TV.

Fans of either (or both) shows know that the family certainly lives it up. From glamorous holidays spent on private yachts in the Mediterranean and driving expensive cars, to playing with the fanciest of toys and wearing the finest high-end fashions, it’s clear the Umansky-Richards enjoy the fruits of their labours.

A quick glance at any of the family members’ Instagram pages will show snapshots of the reality stars at glamorous events and in stunning international destinations.

Besides golfing, the family are avid skiers, as seen on Richards’ Instagram, and often head out on biking trips through the mountains, per Bravo TV. For Mauricio’s 50th birthday, Richards gifted The Agency founder a QuietKat e-bike, states the same source.

The individual net worths

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Mauricio’s estimated fortune is around US$100 million. This is primarily off the back of his real estate success.

As for Farrah, per reports by Exact Net Worth, as one of the agency’s most successful employees, her accumulated personal fortune is estimated to be US$20 million. Finally, Alexia is reportedly worth an estimated US$1.5 million, per All Famous Birthday.
