9 Indian celebs we can’t stop following on Instagram during lockdown
He’s secretly on Instagram
Ranbir is one of the very few A-list Bollywood actors not loud or apparent on social media: he’s nowhere to be found on Twitter, Instagram or Facebook, unlike his (rather vainglorious) peers, except for brief spells when he is required to promote new films.

He is mad about football
A football fanatic, Ranbir is vice captain of the celebrity All Stars Football Club, an agency for charity, and has played several games under its banner, including one for the NGO Magic Bus, which supports underprivileged children.
The actor, who reportedly shows up regularly for practice and remains committed to the cause, is also the co-owner of the Indian Super League team Mumbai City FC.
He gives girlfriend Alia Bhatt snazzy haircuts
A few months ago, Alia Bhatt took to Instagram to show off her new hairstyle – and this is what she posted: “Yes I cut my hair AT HOME – thanks to my multitalented loved one who rose to the occasion when I was in need of a chop-chop.”
Fans immediately guessed she was hinting at Ranbir (her bestie, filmmaker Karan Johar, later confirmed it).

He is a mama’s boy
A quick look at his mother Neetu Singh Kapoor’s Instagram reveals that Ranbir is super close to her, and even more so now that his father is no more (Rishi Kapoor, the stalwart actor who worked shoulder to shoulder with greats like Bachchan and Dharmendra, died on April 30).
Actress Sonam Kapoor, who made her Bollywood debut with Ranbir in Saawariya (2007), said on Johar’s celebrity chat show Koffee with Karan that her co-star is a mama’s boy, and even revealed that Mrs Kapoor still clips her son’s toenails.

How Jacqueline Fernandez become one of Bollywood’s most-bankable actresses
The film is finally set to be released on December 4 after several Covid-19 related delays – and only after Ranbir forced director Ayan Mukerji to set a date.
Alia posted a clip of Ranbir ranting at Mukerji about how is family and fans were laughing at him because the film was in production for two years. Bachchan stays on his phone and remains uninvolved until the end, when he looks up and asks Mukerji if he should tweet out the release date, then promptly announces it on Twitter.
Brahmastra is the first part of a fantasy/sci-fi trilogy, which Ranbir has described as “a romantic fairy tale in supernatural format”. Also in the cast line-up are Telugu star Nagarjuna and actress Mouni Roy, who revealed she is the “only antagonist” in the film.
