The A-Z of Hello Kitty: From tanks and planes to wedding dresses and AK-47s
Hello Kitty turns 40 on Saturday, and to mark the world's most famous cat-who-is-not-a-cat's birthday, we put her on the cover of 48 Hours Magazine.
48 Hours isn't the only thing Hello Kitty's visage has appeared on in the last few decades. Through a combination of creators Sanrio licensing everything from skirts and jewellery to planes and designer handbags, and a passionate, even rabid, fanbase creating Hello Kitty versions of everything else, it's difficult to think of something that hasn't been "improved" by a lick of pink paint and Hello Kitty's iconic ears and the cute bow.
